Back one of the most experienced defenders in the squad. Eve Clarkson, centre back, came through Blackburn Rovers Academy before earning a university scholarship in the United States, where she studied sports science and psychology while continuing to develop her game. She returned to England having played Women’s Championship football with Blackburn, bringing with her the kind of physical presence and aerial ability that makes her one of the most imposing defenders in the Women’s National League. Having joined Borough ahead of the 2025/26 season, she made an immediate impression, featuring in the league opener against Derby and getting an assist in a 6-0 win.
